Britanya graduated from Olds College in 2016 and has been working with companion animals ever since. She began her career in a busy mixed animal practice, where she gained experience in all aspects of veterinary medicine. After eight years, she decided to become a locum technologist, giving her the opportunity to learn new things at several different clinics throughout Calgary and the surrounding communities. It was during this time that she found Didsbury Veterinary Services and officially joined the team in 2026.
Britanya has a special interest in surgery and dentistry. From preparing patients and monitoring anesthesia to assisting with procedures, she takes pride in maintaining a high standard of patient care and comfort throughout every stage of the surgical process and recovery.
She also has a passion for teaching and mentoring new veterinary technologists. She enjoys sharing her knowledge and experience with the next generation of RVTs, helping new graduates build confidence, develop their skills and discover their own passion within veterinary medicine.
Outside of the clinic, you can find her camping with friends and family, relaxing with a good book, or spending time with her husband and two adult children.
