Alex Young

Hi there, my name is Alex. I am one of the Lead Technicians at Didsbury Vet Services. I started my journey at the clinic back before going to tech school, came back right after and have been here ever since! I travelled all the way to Nova Scotia to complete the RVT program with honours, and while I was there, I also started a dog rescue with a friend. I grew up showing beef cattle in the local 4-H club, which struck my interest in veterinary medicine. You can usually find me in the surgery suite or doing something with cattle! Every day on the job is different, and it keeps me on my toes.

I live east of Crossfield on a farm with my 2 pups, Arlo and Rua and some kitty friends. In my spare time, I am usually hiking up the mountains or somewhere with a camera in my hand. Working with animals and being able to help them as well as their owners has been a huge highlight of my life. I look forward to a long career in veterinary medicine and can’t wait to see you and your pets at the clinic- especially for some treats and snuggles!
